Academics

This includes the first day of classes, Marist semester dates, Marist holiday breaks, and important academic deadlines.

To earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree from Marist, students must complete all Core curriculum and major requirements. More information on Core courses and major-specific requirements can be found below.

The mission of the Common Read is to engage the campus community in dialogue about important contemporary issues and provide a shared academic experience that supports incoming first-year students as they transition to college.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects the privacy of student education records and generally prohibits colleges from releasing personally identifiable information without the student鈥檚 written consent, except as permitted by law. A release form, which is accessed and completed by the student, can be found on under "Student Related Forms & Resources."

An academic advisor helps students navigate Marist's programs, policies, and course offerings. While advisors aren't personal or career counselors, they can connect students with additional support, help explore career options, and answer important questions. 

Academic success services provide coordinated, individualized support to help students succeed academically and pursue their educational and career goals. Marist provides a comprehensive suite of academic support services that form a coordinated network of individualized support. General information about Internship opportunities at Marist:

Students interested in changing or adding a major should start by exploring options in the and meeting with an academic advisor or department Chairperson to determine if the major is the right fit. Once a decision is made, students must complete a Change of Major form in and submit it to the Chairperson of the department housing that major. The Chairperson will review and approve the form, then forward it to the Registrar's Office for processing. Afterward, the Center for Advising and Academic Services will assign the student a new advisor in their updated major.

Marist provides campus housing for over 3,300 undergraduate students in corridor, suite, apartment, and townhouse-style residences.

Health, Well-Being, and Safety

All parents are concerned about the well-being of their children while they are attending school. Marist recognizes this concern and employs advanced security measures to assure that our students can enjoy their years here as safely as possible. 

At 糖心Vlog, student safety is a top priority, supported by 24/7 campus safety personnel, secure residence halls, emergency alert systems as well as ongoing safety education and prevention programming.

All traditional undergraduate students are eligible for services at Health Services. Services are available by appointment only.

 

SHIP covers full-time undergraduates who did not sign a waiver prior to their enrollment.
